Yes! Typetrain is completely free. We may display non-intrusive ads to keep the platform running, but the typing lessons and races are fully accessible at no cost.
How do typing races work?
Typing races let you compete against other users or your past scores in real time. You’ll type the same text as others, and your words per minute (WPM) and accuracy determine your ranking.
How is my typing speed calculated?
We calculate typing speed in words per minute (WPM) by dividing the total characters typed by five, then dividing by the time taken, with an adjustment for accuracy.
Can I customize the lessons?
Yes. Typetrain offers adaptive lessons that adjust difficulty based on your progress. You can also choose custom drills to focus on specific letters, words, or punctuation.
Does Typetrain support multiple languages?
Currently, Typetrain supports English. We plan to add support for additional languages in future updates.
How does Typetrain track progress?
When you’re logged in, Typetrain records your WPM, accuracy, and completed exercises. Your stats are displayed in your profile dashboard so you can monitor improvements over time.
Is my data safe?
We follow strict privacy and security practices. We only store essential account data and never share your personal information with third parties without your consent.
How do I reset my password?
